Talking therapies are often very helpful to gain clarity and insight about issues which can be rooted in the past or have more recent causes. All counselling is person-centred, which means respecting that the client is the expert on themselves. As integrative therapists we utilise cognitive, psychodynamic, behavioural and humanistic appraoches.
The mind and body are not separate; they feedback to each other constantly. Therefore when we are struggling emotionally or psychologically we often experience physical tension and discomfort. Therapeutic body massage can be offered as a stand alone option or in conjunction with other therapies to support and reinforce positive changes.
This therapy combines the best elements of hypnosis, NLP (neuroliguistic programming) and inner child work. Sometimes we can get stuck on a emotional event causing our minds and emotions to loop and this therapeutic process helps close the loop allowing you to move forward.
Using specific eye movements we can help the brain reprocess challenging emotions. IEMT helps with trauma and difficult memories and unlike talking therapies, doesn't rely on having to speak about the details of traumatic incidents which can be very hard for people to do. IEMT is also used to work on issues around identity that can hold us back. This therapy often creates rapid positive shifts for people.
Scientists have demonstrated the strong neurological connection between the heart and the brain. This biofeedback therapy helps you to regain the natural rhythm of communication between these two fundamental organs. When coherence is restored it creates a greater sense of being in control and feelings of calm and resilience.
This is a therapy that involves tapping on specific points (similar to accupuncture) to create a sense of release. Following the movements demonstrated by the therapist and using the power of words and thoughts this can be highly effective in unburdening deep emotions that have been holding you back in life and emotionally resetting to feel calmer.
